1994- Second Round at Key Biscayne.
Began playing tennis at age 10 with his father, Victor.
Qualified for his second career ATP Tour tournament at the Lipton in Key
Biscayne in March 1994, reaching the second round (his first Tour match win).
Played his last round of qualifying and two rounds in main draw with borrowed
racquets (from Andreas Maurer) after thiefs broke into his rental car and
stole racquets and tennis shoes.
Won the Austrian National Championships in 1992 and qualified in his
first Tour outing in Kitzbuhel (l. in first round).
Coached by countryman Achim Fischer.
