1988- Qualified and reached second round at Indianapolis (d. Marty Davis).
1987- Finished eighth at USTA Satellite #3; Qualified in his first NGP event
at Scottsdale (l. Kevin Curren).
Two-time All-America at Long Beach State in 1987-88, finishing No. 20 in
'87 and No. 9 in '88 in the final collegiate tennis rankings. He then trans-
ferred to Southern California for the 1988-89 season.
Runner-up at the 1986 USTA Hardcourts and member of the USTA Junior
Davis Cup team.
Began playing tennis at age 5.
