  • Andrew Jarrett has been the Tournament Referee of The Championships, at Wimbledon, since June 2006, following the retirement of former British Davis Cup player Alan Mills after 23 years of service to the All England Club. Influenced to become a Referee by Fred Hoyles, when still a player in the early 1980s. Was Referee of the qualifying tournament for The Championships for four years. He also works as a referee at Davis Cup and Fed Cup ties. A tennis prodigy by the age of eight, he played at the Australian Open (1978, 1981), Wimbledon (1977-1983) and US Open (1982). In 1978 he reached the Australian Open semi-finals with Jonathan Smith (l. to Kronk-Letcher). He captured one ATP title at 1982 Auckland (w/Smith) over Stefanki-Van't Hof 7-5, 7-6. He also finished runner-up at five tournaments (1979-Auckland, 1979-Nancy, 1980-Bournemouth, 1981-Paris Indoor, 1982-Adelaide). He attained a career-high doubles ranking of No. 85 (3 January 1985). He was a member of Great Britain's Davis Cup squad from 1981-83 (3-6 record). He supports Derby County Football Club and has travelled to all 92 of the Football League grounds.
