Was a member of the French Davis Cup team in 1964. Won title at Caracas
in '64. Was an original member of WCT "Handsome Eight" in 1968. Returned to
the French Davis Cup team in 1970.
He won U.S. Open doubles title in 1979 (w/Pilic). Ranked No. 1 in
France in 1972.
Opened Pierre Barthes Tennis Club in Cap d'Agde in 1972, and in Val
Thorens in 1981.
