Started playing tennis aged nine...Attended the University of Tennessee from 1989-91 and finished in the Top 50 in the final 1991 collegiate rankings...Captured the Southeastern Conference doubles title with Doug Flach...Ranked in the Top 3 in Brazilian juniors from 1985-87...Ranked as high as No. 7 in the junior rankings in 1987 before finishing No. 17 in singles and No. 10 in doubles...Enjoys Rock and Roll music (Rush, Whitesnake, Police, Beatles), playing music (drums and keyboards), going to the beach, body surfing, golf and playing with his dog Kiko...Retired from the ATP Tour in 1996...Directs his own company, FABERG TENNIS TOUR, only company in Brazil that is 100% focused on organizing packages for individuals and corporate groups to attend ATP World Tour events and Grand Slams...Also represents the Sanchez-Casal Academy (Barcelona) in Brazil...Married to Eloisa Silberberg; one daughter, Ana, born in Augusut 2011.
