    • Began playing tennis at age 6 with his father, Nikolai, a former volleyball player. Mother, Tatiana, was a swimmer and held a Belarus national record in 1971 (200 metres butterfly); brother, Peter; step-brother, Timothy.
    • Father sent him from Belarus to Brooklyn in 1991. Moved to Bradenton, Fla., in 1992 to train at IMG Academy.

    • NittoATP Finals: Qualified10 times, going 5-0 en route to titles in 2006 w/Bjorkman and 2011 w/Nestor.
    • Milestones: Won 49 doubles titles with 18 partners, most recently 2016 Acapulco w/Huey (d. Guccione/Tomic for 700th win in 1R). Captured career-high 7 titles in 2006 and 1+ title in 15 straight seasons (1999-2013). Beat Federer en route to 2003 Rotterdam singles title. Earned career-high 65 doubles wins in 2003. Owns 23-30 record vs. Bryan/Bryan, snapping 8-match losing streak in 2017 Wimbledon 2R w/Matkowski. Made doubles debut at 1996 ’s-Hertogenbosch w/Ketola as LL (l. to Haarhuis/Schalken) and earned 1st win at 1996 Moscow w/Ullyett as Q (d. B. Black/Connell).
    • Grand Slams: Owns 10 Grand Slam titles in men’s and mixed doubles, including Roland Garros w/Bjorkman in 2005 and 2006, then w/Nestor in 2011 and 2012. Reached 2002 US Open singles QF (d. Federer, l. to Agassi).
    • ATP Masters 1000: Captured 16 ATP Masters 1000 titles, including 2003 Miami w/Federer. Played 12 matches in 9 days at 2001 ATP Masters 1000 Stuttgart, winning doubles title w/Stolle and reaching singles final as Q (d. No. 1 Kuerten, Ivanisevic, Sampras and Kafelnikov; l. to Haas).
    • Olympics: Five-time Olympian won 2012 London mixed doubles gold medal w/Azarenka (d. A. Murray/Robson).
