his singles matches in a 3-2 loss to Brazil in 1987.
He won his first Grand Prix title since 1982 when he won at St. Vincent
in August. Earlier he captured a Challenger at Tarbes, France.
He ended up No. 94 on the ATP computer in 1987, his best year-end since
1981 when he was 43. He compiled a 14-8 match record and eaned a career-high
$58,502 in 1987.
