championships, 1948, 52, 56. Member, Danish Davis Cup team. Played in over
100 Davis Cup rubbers. Won 1949 Macomber Cup. Won 1954 British Hard Court
championships. Won 1954 French Covered Court Championships singles and
doubles. Reached round of 16 at 1968 U.S. Open.
Torben is a talented and versatile musician, critic and painter. He is
also an authority on Eastern music. Produced a film that was chosen to
represent Denmark at the German Festival.
